Yukun Du is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Department of Mathematics at University of Georgia. Their general area of interests lies in geometry and topology. Their research focuses on geometric group theory, especially in understanding discrete subgroups of Lie/Chevalley groups by mean of geometric and combinatorial objects.

My research interest focuses on Geometric Group Theory, especially Kleinian groups (for both hyperbolic and higher-rank symmetric spaces).
My Doctoral Thesis, Geometry of Selberg’s bisectors in the symmetric space SL(n,R)/SO(n,R), discussed topics related to an algorithm for discrete subgroups of SL(n,R) acting on this symmetric space.
I am also interested in Bruhat-Tits trees and buildings.
A research talk related to my doctoral & more recent research on higher-rank symmetric spaces.
This is the first post of my personal homepage! As a geometrist, a random thing I want to share here is a fundamental polyhedron of the Whitehead link group (in Poincaré unit ball …
